SourceChannel.com first went live on August 11, 1998. The idea behind it was very simple. I was interested in so many things that I began to have too many bookmarks on my web browser. So I organized them into several different categories that I was most interested in and set up the site. I also started writing about various things I did in the Diary section.

Things grew slowly but surely over time and the common theme has remained similar to the original. However, once I graduated from college and went to work in industry I went through a period of several months when things began to go awry. It was as far away from motor racing and cars as I could have been. I felt lost.

So I made a commitment to overcome all obstacles and to give it my very best effort to succeed. In doing so I came up with a plan called Optimize Your Life.

I want to share this with people everywhere for a number of reasons. First, I believe in it and live by it. It has changed my life for the better, and I believe it will be of service to others.

Secondly, I never want to stop learning how to live better. This is only the beginning. The best way to learn is to have input from other people. What works well and what doesn't? How are our lives being affected by changes in society and technology? It's important to gather feedback and to keep on learning. This inevitably leads to a more balanced and rewarding life.
